A

How WAGS Works
If
the drip pan under your water heater fills with just 3/4" of water,
a special water soluble fiber element inside the WAGS valve
dissolves and releases a spring-loaded piston that shuts off the
water supply to your water heater. In gas water
heaters, the same action also cuts of the gas supply.
The WAGS valve is highly reliable, completely mechanical, and requires no additional power source.
$1,000 Lifetime Protection Policy
Your
WAGS valve is guaranteed to work. The manufacturer
(Taco, Inc.) will reimburse the owner of a Taco WAGS valve their
insurance deductible, up to $1,000, if a properly installed WAGS
valve fails to detect a water heater leak and subsequently shut off
the water feed, resulting in excessive water damage.
